The Perfect 3 Days in Antalya, Türkiye
What makes the city special is how effortlessly everything connects together. Within a short drive, you can move from ancient Roman streets to turquoise beaches, dramatic waterfalls, mountain viewpoints, marina dinners, and boat trips along the Mediterranean coast.
When we first planned this trip, we thought three days might feel rushed.
It didn’t.
In fact, Antalya turned out to be one of the easiest destinations we’ve visited for a short escape because the city naturally balances sightseeing and relaxation without constantly feeling exhausting.
If you only have three days here, this is the version of Antalya we’d personally recommend experiencing.
Where We Recommend Staying

Before talking about the itinerary itself, choosing the right base makes a huge difference in Antalya.
After exploring different parts of the city, we genuinely think the best area to stay for easy access to everything is:
Lara District (Near Akra Hotel)
This area sits perfectly between:
- Kaleiçi (Old Town)
- Konyaaltı side
- the marina
- beach areas
- airport access
Most major attractions are within 20–40 minutes, which makes the entire trip feel smoother and less stressful.
It also gives you:
- coastal views
- better hotel options
- quieter evenings
- easier transport
Hotel We Personally Recommend:
Akra Antalya Hotel
This ended up being one of our favorite hotel locations in Antalya.
The sea views are incredible, especially early in the morning, and after full days exploring the city, coming back here felt peaceful without feeling disconnected from everything else.
The location honestly made the itinerary work so well.
Day 1 — Explore Antalya’s Historic Side

We started our first day in Kaleiçi, Antalya’s Old Town, and it immediately changed our impression of the city.
Before visiting, we expected Antalya to feel mostly resort-focused. Instead, Kaleiçi felt full of history, character, and atmosphere. Narrow cobblestone streets twist between Ottoman houses, hidden courtyards, cafés, and small local shops, while the marina below creates one of the most scenic parts of the city.
We spent the morning slowly wandering through:
- Hadrian’s Gate
- Yivli Minaret
- Hıdırlık Tower
- the marina viewpoints
What we loved most was that the area never felt rushed. Some of the best moments came from simply walking without a plan.
For lunch, we stopped at Seraser Fine Dining, tucked inside a restored Ottoman mansion. It ended up being one of the most relaxing meals of the trip.
In the afternoon, we headed toward the famous Düden Waterfalls, where water dramatically crashes off cliffs directly into the Mediterranean Sea. Seeing the falls with the sea stretching behind them honestly felt surreal in person.
We finished the evening back near Antalya Marina during sunset.
This is one of those places that somehow becomes even more beautiful once the city lights begin reflecting across the harbor.
Dinner at Vanilla Lounge ended the day perfectly.
Day 2 — Beaches, Views & Ancient Ruins

After a packed first day, we slowed things down a little.
We started the morning at Konyaaltı Beach, which quickly became one of our favorite areas in Antalya. The combination of turquoise water and the Taurus Mountains in the background makes the entire coastline feel incredibly scenic.
Instead of rushing around, we spent time:
- walking the promenade
- sitting at beachfront cafés
- swimming
- simply enjoying the slower pace
That balance is something Antalya does really well.
In the afternoon, we took the Tünektepe Cable Car up into the hills for panoramic views over the coastline. The perspective from the top makes you realize how dramatically the mountains and sea surround the city.
Later in the day, we visited Perge Ancient City, and this honestly surprised us more than expected.
The ruins are massive.
Walking through the ancient Roman streets, stadium, baths, and towering columns makes the site feel immersive rather than just historical. The late afternoon lighting also made the entire place feel even more atmospheric.
We ended the night with dinner at Asmani Restaurant inside Akra Hotel.
The rooftop setting overlooking the Mediterranean made it one of the most memorable dinners of the trip.
Day 3 — Experience Antalya From the Water

By the third day, we realized one thing:
Antalya is best experienced slowly.
So instead of filling the day with nonstop sightseeing, we spent most of it on the water.
The boat tour along Antalya’s coastline ended up being one of the highlights of the entire trip. From the sea, the cliffs look even more dramatic, and seeing the waterfalls and coastline from a distance gives you a completely different perspective of the city.
There’s something about spending hours swimming in the Mediterranean, relaxing onboard, and watching the coastline drift by that perfectly fits Antalya’s atmosphere.
After returning to the city, we spent the afternoon relaxing around Lara before heading to Club Arma for a farewell dinner beside the marina.
And honestly, it felt like the perfect ending.
The harbor lights, music, Mediterranean breeze, and seafood dinners somehow captured everything we ended up loving about Antalya.
Final Thoughts
What surprised us most about Antalya was how balanced it felt.
Some destinations are all beaches.
Some are all history.
Some are all luxury resorts.
Antalya somehow combines all three without feeling overwhelming.
In just three days, you can:
- wander through ancient streets
- swim in the Mediterranean
- explore Roman ruins
- take boat trips along the coast
- watch waterfalls crash into the sea
- end evenings at waterfront restaurants
And somehow, none of it feels rushed.
If you’re looking for a destination that blends relaxation, culture, scenery, and food into one easy trip, Antalya genuinely delivers.
And honestly, we’d go back in a heartbeat.
