Pattaya in 3 Days: The Travey Club Signature Itinerary

Pattaya in 3 Days: The Travey Club Signature Itinerary

There’s something about Pattaya that slowly grows on you.

At first, it feels energetic and fast-moving — beaches filled with boats, lively streets, neon lights, music everywhere. But after spending a few days here, we realized Pattaya is actually best experienced when you balance both sides of it: the excitement and the slower coastal moments in between.

At Travey Club, we didn’t want to create an itinerary that felt rushed or overly touristy. We wanted something that genuinely captures what makes Pattaya enjoyable — island escapes, good seafood, sunsets, culture, nightlife, and those small relaxed moments where you simply sit near the ocean and let the day slow down.

So if you only have three days in Pattaya, this is the itinerary we’d personally recommend.

Not just because it covers the highlights, but because the flow actually feels good while traveling.

Where We Recommend Staying

Before anything else, choosing the right location in Pattaya matters more than most people expect.

After exploring different areas, we genuinely feel that Central Pattaya is the best base for a short 3-day trip.

Why?

Because everything becomes easier.

You’re close to:

  • Pattaya Beach
  • Walking Street
  • Shopping malls
  • Restaurants
  • Island tour pickups
  • Massage places
  • Cafés
  • Transport connections

Most importantly, you avoid spending half your trip stuck in traffic moving between areas.

Hotel We Personally Recommend:

Hilton Pattaya

This hotel ended up being the perfect base for us.

The ocean views are incredible, the location is unbeatable, and being connected to Central Festival Mall makes everything feel convenient without losing the luxury experience.

After long days outside, coming back to the infinity pool overlooking Pattaya Bay honestly became part of the trip itself.

Day 1 — Ease Into Pattaya Slowly

We always believe the first day of a trip shouldn’t feel exhausting, especially after arriving from Bangkok.

That’s why our first day in Pattaya focused more on settling into the atmosphere rather than trying to “complete” attractions quickly.

After checking into the hotel, we started with a relaxed walk along Pattaya Beach. There’s something nice about simply sitting by the water on the first day, watching the city move around you while the sea breeze immediately makes everything feel slower.

Later in the afternoon, we visited the Sanctuary of Truth — and honestly, this became one of our favorite experiences in Pattaya.

The temple is entirely wooden, filled with incredibly detailed carvings that somehow look even more beautiful during late afternoon sunlight. The contrast between Pattaya’s busy streets and the calm atmosphere here makes the experience even more memorable.

As evening arrived, we headed towards Walking Street.

Even if nightlife isn’t usually your thing, walking through the street at least once feels like part of the Pattaya experience. The lights, music, seafood restaurants, rooftop bars, and constant energy make it feel completely different from the quieter daytime city.

We ended the night with seafood dinner near the waterfront before heading back to the hotel.

And honestly, it felt like the perfect introduction to Pattaya.

Day 2 — Island Escape & Sunset Views

This was easily the most fun day of the trip.

We started early and headed to Coral Island (Koh Larn), which feels completely different from central Pattaya. The water is clearer, the beaches are calmer, and the entire atmosphere becomes more tropical.

Some of us tried parasailing while others just relaxed near the beach cafés with fresh fruit smoothies and seafood snacks. That’s what we liked most about the island — you can make it adventurous or completely slow depending on your mood.

After returning to Pattaya and taking a short break, we headed to Pattaya Viewpoint during sunset.

This ended up becoming one of the quietest and most peaceful moments of the trip. Watching the city slowly light up while the sun disappeared behind the bay gave Pattaya a completely different feeling compared to its usual busy image.

For dinner, we chose a clifftop restaurant overlooking the ocean.

Good seafood, sea breeze, soft music, and city lights in the distance — honestly, this is the side of Pattaya people don’t talk about enough.

Day 3 — The Slower Side of Pattaya

By the third day, we intentionally slowed the pace down.

Instead of chasing more activities, we focused on enjoying the quieter side of the city.

We started the morning at Big Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Yai), which felt calm and peaceful compared to the busy tourist areas. The hilltop views overlooking Pattaya also made it worth the short visit.

After that, we spent time around Jomtien Beach.

This area became one of our favorite surprises because it feels so much more relaxed than central Pattaya. The beach stretches longer, the atmosphere feels slower, and even the cafés nearby feel calmer.

We had lunch at a local seafood spot near the beach before continuing towards Buddha Mountain (Khao Chi Chan).

The giant golden Buddha carved into the limestone cliff is impressive in person, but what we actually enjoyed most was the peaceful surroundings around it. After two busy days, ending the trip somewhere quieter felt like the right decision.

For our final evening, we chose a beachfront dinner with sunset views and simply let the night unfold slowly.

No rushing.

No trying to fit in “one last attraction.”

Just good food, ocean air, and a calm ending to the trip.

Final Thoughts from Travey Club

What surprised us most about Pattaya is that the city feels completely different depending on how you experience it.

If you only focus on nightlife, you miss the peaceful temples, island escapes, scenic cafés, and quiet beach moments.

But when you balance both sides of Pattaya, the city suddenly feels much more complete.

That’s exactly why this Signature Itinerary works so well.

It gives you:

  • Beaches without feeling repetitive
  • Nightlife without becoming overwhelming
  • Culture without feeling exhausting
  • Relaxation without becoming boring

Most importantly, it leaves enough room to actually enjoy Pattaya instead of simply checking places off a list.
