Day One – Discover the Grand Buenos Aires
Begin where Argentina's story unfolds—Plaza de Mayo.
Surrounded by Casa Rosada, the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Cabildo, this historic square introduces you to the city's political and cultural identity. Spend some time walking around rather than simply taking photographs. Every building has played a role in shaping modern Argentina.
A short stroll brings you to the legendary Café Tortoni, where polished timber, stained-glass ceilings and marble tables have welcomed writers, artists and travellers for over 160 years. It's the perfect place to slow down with a coffee and a medialuna before continuing.

While Caminito is famous for its colourful façades, the neighbourhood's immigrant history gives it far more depth than its photographs suggest. Wander through the open-air galleries before moving on.
From here, continue to San Telmo, one of Buenos Aires' oldest neighbourhoods. Browse San Telmo Market, enjoy lunch among local food vendors, then spend the afternoon strolling along Defensa Street toward Plaza Dorrego.
